Piggy-backing off of our delegation topic, create a company guide (procedures manual) to instruct others on how to do key activities within the organization. This will make the delegation process much easier. This is especially needed if you delegate the same tasks every few months to a new person (i.e. college interns). As you are creating your guide think outside of the box. The guide doesn’t have to be in the form of a book. You might choose to create a series of short training videos that capture the essence of what your employee or intern needs to do in their position.
You mostly likely already have a high quality video camera in your pocket. It’s also what you use to make calls. That’s right, today’s phones can do all you need to record some of those daily tasks your perform. Another tool you will likely need is a computer screen share program that records your computer screen so you can show any kind of computer related activities you need to teach others.
